Why You'll Like It
This impressive family house is set in a vast garden plot at the edge of the city of Truro in a semi rural yet convenient location. It is worth noting that the only access to the property is by crossing the main railway line via a gated / signalled crossing. Once you have made that crossing you feel as though you are a world away from the city in a peaceful setting with an abundance of space. A curving drive sweeps you though a large lawned area to a spacious parking area in front of the double garage which is a great size and makes a lovely workshop space. In front of the house there's a Mediterranean terracotta style sunny patio. Stepping inside the house you enter a lovely entrance hallway. The living room to the right is a beautiful room with lovely light and a gorgeous fireplace. To the other side of the hall is a good sized dining room and the kitchen is fitted with quality shaker style units with granite work surfaces and island and there is a separate utility room. The sun room to the front is a lovely addition and adds a very nice snug space. The first floor is accessed via two separate stairways. Upstairs there are four generous bedrooms and far reaching rural views, we particularly love the spacious landing and balcony. The bathrooms are beautifully appointed. Outside the grounds are pleasantly landscaped and relatively straightforward to maintain being mostly laid to lawn. For anybody looking for a large family house in great private gardens close to the western end of Truro we strongly recommend a viewing.
Where It Is
The location of this property is pretty special and relatively private due to being located across the mainline railway tracks from the Newbridge area of Truro. The property is accessed by carefully following the instructions on the sign at a dedicated gated railway crossing. Once you cross the tracks you feel a world away! (even though you are just minutes from the Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro Prep School, Truro College, Richard Lander School and Truro Golf Club). The Newbridge area has excellent country walks and Truro Lawn Tennis Club is located there. Access to both the city of Truro and also back roads to Falmouth and Redruth including the main A30 can be found from here. From Truro you pass Truro Tennis club on your left and go down through a ford and up the hill the other side taking a left turn down an unmade road (sign posted on a tree), at the end of the track you will come to a gate (before the railway track). It is essential to follow the instructions on the sign telling you how to safely cross the railway track.
Prospective viewers should note that the access to the property involves crossing the main line railway. There are gates and a traffic light system in place. Please familiarise yourself with the access before arranging a viewing appointment.
